AN INDEPENDENT ACCURACY INITIATIVEACCURACY, ONE SOURCE AT A TIME.
About

An initiative for a web that stays true.

The internet solved distribution and never solved maintenance. Anything published can reach the world in seconds, and then sit unchanged for a decade while the world moves on. Statistics get superseded. Laws get rewritten. Products get discontinued. The pages citing them keep ranking, keep getting shared, and keep being believed.

That gap, between what a page says and what is currently true, is where most of the web's everyday misinformation lives. Not lies. Not propaganda. Just information that expired while nobody was watching.

Content Correction exists to close that gap, one source at a time. The goal is plain: keep the internet the most truthful and honest place it can be. We identify published claims that time has overtaken, verify what changed against documented sources, publish the correction with its sourcing stated, and notify the publishers involved so the record can be fixed where it lives.

What we are not

We do not arbitrate opinions, judgments, or disputes between experts. A claim only enters our record when the evidence that it is outdated is unambiguous and documented: an official source superseded, a regulation replaced, a service discontinued, a dataset retired. If it cannot be proven with receipts, it does not get corrected here.

How to take part

Anyone can submit a correction: a page carrying outdated information, or updated material on a topic where stale versions still circulate. Every submission is verified before anything is published or sent. Publishers who prefer not to hear from us can opt out at any time.
